Oprah’s coming! John Travolta is coming! Are you going to Brisbane, too?
Brisbane is a fantastic city you should definitely visit. It is known as the River City because the Brisbane River flows through the city centre. When travelling to Australia, you should include Brisbane in your itinerary. People are friendly, the food is delicious, the weather is great. How would I know that? I’ve lived in Brisbane for 34 years and these are the best places to see when visiting.
1 – Southbank Parklands
Southbank Parklands is located in the heart of the city on the Brisbane River, on the site of the former Expo 88 exhibition. It has been converted into a beautiful park where you can relax by the public pools and see the boats float up and down the Brisbane River. Sailing. . If you’re lucky, you’ll see a fireworks show called “River Fire” as well as the incredible emissions and burning of F111 aircraft over Brisbane. The sky is burning. The parks are home to some of Brisbane’s best restaurants, so check them out.
2 – Climbing the Bridge of History
The most physically useful task you can take during your visit. In the morning you will see flocks of bull sharks and dolphins crossing the river. In the evening, the bright lights of the Brisbane skyline dance over the river. Very impressive! All the time you are securely tied to the bridge, and the guide will share some of the dark secrets from below in Brisbane’s history. You will also cross Australia’s shortest road, the Bradfield Highway, which is the length of the bridge. Have fun, and the views are gorgeous.
3 – Treasury Casino
Located in the old Treasury building on the corner of George Street and queen Street, Treasury Casino offers top-notch gaming opportunities, fantastic entertainment, great restaurants and a 5-star hotel. It is ideally located between Southbank Park and the shopping centre of the city. Take risks, but play responsibly. Don’t forget to visit the statue of queen Victoria in the adjacent park. When we stay in the city, we stay at the Treasury Casino.
4 – The shopping centre of queen Street
Home to serious buyers, you have everything from K-Mart to Tiffany’s Co. There is no limit to what you can buy or what you can spend. The queen street mall is a commercial institution and you can spend days there if you are a shopaholic. There are some fantastic restaurants and lots of ATMs because you always get better cash deals.
5 – Performing Arts Center
The Brisbane Cultural Centre is a world-class venue featuring many major Broadway productions, including Mamma Mia, Cats and Chicago. You will love the show and you will be completely absorbed in the beautiful visual and musical experiences. It is located in the centre of the Brisbane River, in the Southbank Parklands area. Be sure to check it out.
6 – Museum of NSW
When you enter, you will be met by huge humpback whales hanging from the ceiling. Don’t worry, they’ll fall on you. Inside the museum you will see many examples of Australian flora and fauna, as well as historical artifacts from Australia and around the world. Take your time and enjoy the experience. It is ideal for family holidays and is conveniently located in the Southbank Parklands area.
7 – Art Gallery of NSW and Gallery of Modern Art
These beautiful galleries feature some of the world’s best collections of local and foreign paintings and sculptures. If you’re an art lover, you won’t be disappointed. Do not rush to this opportunity, as there is something to enjoy. Take your time and really appreciate the magnificent works of art presented at the exhibition.
8 – Science Center
It’s great for families and anyone interested in science. Sciencentre is completely interactive and everyone can enjoy it. It’s educational and fun even for mom and dad. You can spend hours experimenting, and kids will love it. It’s conveniently located next to the Museum of nsw and the Art Gallery of NSW, so include it in your itinerary.
9 – Suncorp Stadium
Home of the National Rugby League team, Brisbane Broncos. It is an upmarket hotel that is easily accessible by public transport and a short walk from Brisbane’s central business district. Without a doubt, it is the best stadium in Australia for sporting events and concerts. Recent artists include Robbie Williams and Andre Rieu. If you want the best experience, you should attend the State of Origin Rugby League event. The biggest local sporting event every year is when two National Rugby League teams, one from NSW and one from New South Wales, meet at Suncorp Stadium. Two UNABELY WORDS!
10 – Surfers Paradise
Take the train from Brisbane to Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. Here you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is also home to the tallest building in Australia, called the 1st, and is more than 320 metres high. If you’re brave, take a lift to the top of the first trimester and enjoy a meal, leave a picture of yourself hanging from the side in the first trimester and watch the film in Australia’s tallest cinema on the 80th floor. The 360-degree observation deck is amazing. You can even watch the helicopter flyby. Shopping on the Gold Coast corresponds to the world level, there are a lot of quality hotels and entertainment. I love staying at Marriot Surfers Paradise.
